Do you enjoy making people smile, building connections, and creating memorable experiences? If you're compassionate, energetic, and love working with seniors, we'd love to have you join our team as a Part-Time Activity Assistant!
In this rewarding role, you'll help bring joy, purpose, and engagement to the lives of our residents by assisting with fun, creative, and meaningful activities. From games and crafts to music, celebrations, exercise, and community events, you'll play an important part in helping residents stay active, connected, and fulfilled.
What You'll Do
- Help plan and lead engaging activities that promote socialization, wellness, and enjoyment.
- Encourage and motivate residents to participate while respecting their individual interests and abilities.
- Build genuine relationships with residents and brighten their day through kindness, conversation, and companionship.
- Assist with arts and crafts, games, music, fitness programs, holiday celebrations, birthday parties, and special events.
- Escort residents to and from activities and provide support throughout programs.
- Prepare activity spaces, organize supplies, and help create a welcoming environment.
- Document resident participation and share observations with the Activity Director.
- Work closely with nursing staff, volunteers, and other team members to create exceptional resident experiences.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and positive environment during all activities.
What We're Looking For
- A positive attitude and a passion for serving older adults.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to try new ideas.
- Dependability and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Previous experience in senior care, recreation, customer service, childcare, or volunteer work is a plus—but we're happy to train the right person!
