Join Elder Care and our specialized adult day care program, Al'z Place, as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and help transform the lives of adults living with complex care needs. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to combine clinical nursing skills with direct participant care in a supportive, collaborative environment. In addition to providing nursing services, you will assist with personal care assistance and help facilitate meaningful activities that foster engagement, independence, and an enhanced quality of life for those we serve. Assists in delivering services to adults with Alzheimer's Disease or severe memory impairment in Model Day Care setting.

Must successfully pass an AHCA Level 2 screening for this position

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Florida
• One (1) year of clinical experience as an LPN preferred
• Minimum two (2) years of experience working with the elderly preferred
• Experience working with memory-impaired patients preferred
• Personal care experience required
• Strong organizational skills required
• Strong communication skills required
• Ability to follow instructions required

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Florida
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required) (Refer to CP 1.51)

Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a non-frequent driver

Note: A frequent driver is defined as an employee who uses their personal or Shands vehicle:

• At least once daily; or
• At least five (5) individual trips per week; or
• Drives, on average, more than 150 miles per week in the performance of their job
