Activities Assistant
Full Time | Day Shift | 10 am -6 pm
Pay: $16.38-$17.75/hour

St. Margaret's Center, an affiliate of the Center for Disability Services, is a 94-bed pediatric and young adult skilled nursing facility located in Albany, NY. Founded in 1883, we provide specialized long-term care for medically fragile infants, children, and young adults on a single dedicated campus.
Our team delivers advanced 24-hour medical care in a nurturing, home-like environment where residents can experience a full childhood - including school, activities, family time, and friendships.
Requirements for an Activities Assistant -
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of related experience, preferably providing care and recreational programming for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be at least 18 years of age
What you'll do as an Activities Assistant -
- Assist with planning and facilitating therapeutic recreation activities
- Support residents' participation in programs that promote growth and development
- Follow established care plans and safety guidelines
- Communicate clearly and effectively with residents, families, and team members
