Origin is seeking active law enforcement officers for part-time Off-Duty Police Officer Investigator roles supporting high-priority federal-impact field operations, including assignments connected to DHS-related initiatives. This is a field-focused investigative position designed for Off-Duty Police Officers who will perform locates, surveillance, wellness checks, interviews, and and evidence gathering. We are looking for self-driven individuals who excel in building rapport, gathering facts, and conducting thorough field investigations. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills in federal-aligned field operations.
What You'll Do
Conduct field investigations including locating subjects, surveillance, and interviews
Support federal-level investigative assignments, including DHS-related field operations
Gather, verify, and document information relevant to active cases
Conduct professional interviews and obtain detailed statements from involved parties
Perform surveillance operations and maintain accurate field notes and reporting
Develop investigative leads through fieldwork, observation, and follow-up
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all legal and procedural standards
Coordinate with internal teams and assignment supervisors as needed
Qualifications
Active law enforcement officer (required)
Experience in investigations, patrol, detective work, or specialized units
Strong interviewing, observation, and report-writing skills
Ability to build rapport and effectively gather information in the field
High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in sensitive situations
Excellent observational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments efficiently
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally and regionally
