    This is a contingent position based upon contract award

    KBR is seeking a motivated Acquisition Specialist to join our team and provide support for an Intelligence Community Customer Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED). GED plays a crucial role in helping the Intelligence Community Customer execute intelligence-gathering missions, turning collected data into actionable information for the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) users.

    In this position, you'll independently support acquisition planning and execution, ensuring compliance with FAR requirements while enabling timely and effective procurements. You'll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams focused on hardware, software, system integration, and data analysis to help achieve significant missions and meet critical requirements

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Acquisition support encompasses the development of acquisition strategies, market research, defining requirements, preparing solicitations, evaluating proposals, and managing contracts
    • Act as business advisor to internal customers about acquisition strategy, contract types, contracting methods, and sole source and competitive acquisition strategies and procedures
    • Assist in source selection pre-award functions normally conducted by Contract Specialists, which includes preparing contract-related documents
    • Solicit and advise during proposal evaluation, perform cost/price analysis, and prepare negotiation positions
    • Assist in obtaining required reviews and/or approvals for contractual and acquisition documents
    • Perform source selection post-award functions, including administering contracts by ensuring compliance with terms and conditions of contracts, resolution of problems/issues that arise during performance of contracts, reviewing invoices, and continuously reviewing contracts for compliance with established programs, policies, and procedures

    Required Qualifications:

    • 5 years of Federal Government contract experience (Intelligence Community Customer experience desired but not mandatory) and familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
    • Experience supporting competitive procurements and contract awards
    • Strong written communication and documentation skills
    • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Acquisition Management, or related field
    • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with adjudicated polygraph

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • DAWIA Level II or equivalent acquisition certification, Experience with IDIQs, BPAs, and task order competitions

    Additional Compensation:

    KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
