Accreditation Specialist

Overview

Responsibilities

Supports required accreditation standards and ensures successful survey compliance System wide by coordinating continual readiness efforts. Provides technical expertise to support educational activities regarding regulatory standards and to analyze complex statistical data. Builds collaborative relationships with physician, other health care professionals and hospital staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

One of the following:

• Associate's degree in Nursing
• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field.

Working knowledge of clinical settings; basic knowledge of accreditation standards and survey methodologies

Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills

Licensure, Registration, Certification:

If hired as an Associate degreed Nurse, must hold current Alabama RN licensure

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Working knowledge of Joint Commission standards and survey procedures

Licensure/Registration/Certification:

Certified Joint Commission Professional (CJCP)
