Job Duties:
Submit claims accurately and within required timeframes.
Review payment explanations and denials to identify account issues.
Validate payments for accuracy and contract compliance.
Monitor payer portals and follow up on payment discrepancies as needed.
Manage billing for primary and secondary coverage.
Perform follow‑up on all assigned accounts.
Respond to payer inquiries related to assigned accounts.
Conduct status checks and determine appeal eligibility.
Document all account activity thoroughly.
Complete assigned work queues and tasks.
Escalate trends, questions, or concerns to leadership.
Perform data processing including batching, posting, and corrections.
Apply appropriate denial, adjustment, and remittance codes.
Reconcile remittances.
Support additional projects as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior billing or revenue cycle experience required.
2+ years of experience in transaction processing or denial resolution.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency with database and billing systems.
Ability to calculate percentages and related figures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret payer rules, regulations, and technical documentation.
Additional Info:
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4pm OR 8am - 4:30pm CST
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Type: Contract-to-hire
Pay: $23/ hour
