Job Duties:

  • Submit claims accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Review payment explanations and denials to identify account issues.
  • Validate payments for accuracy and contract compliance.
  • Monitor payer portals and follow up on payment discrepancies as needed.
  • Manage billing for primary and secondary coverage.
  • Perform follow‑up on all assigned accounts.
  • Respond to payer inquiries related to assigned accounts.
  • Conduct status checks and determine appeal eligibility.
  • Document all account activity thoroughly.
  • Complete assigned work queues and tasks.
  • Escalate trends, questions, or concerns to leadership.
  • Perform data processing including batching, posting, and corrections.
  • Apply appropriate denial, adjustment, and remittance codes.
  • Reconcile remittances.
  • Support additional projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior billing or revenue cycle experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in transaction processing or denial resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with database and billing systems.
  • Ability to calculate percentages and related figures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret payer rules, regulations, and technical documentation.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4pm OR 8am - 4:30pm CST
  • Location: Minneapolis, MN
  • Type: Contract-to-hire
  • Pay: $23/ hour
