PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to support federal government collections and high-value customer accounts. This role goes beyond traditional collections, requiring strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills to navigate government vendor portals, resolve disputes, process claims, and eliminate payment delays.

What You'll Do

• Manage a high-dollar, high-volume Accounts Receivable portfolio.

• Submit invoices and supporting documentation through government vendor portals.

• Monitor invoice status and pursue payment on outstanding balances.

• Research and resolve payment disputes, claims, rejections, and discrepancies.

• Investigate complex payment delays without relying heavily on direct customer contact.

• Partner with internal teams including:

  • Sales Management

  • Pricing

  • Contracts

  • Posting

  • Order Entry

• Analyze account activity to identify root causes of aging balances.

• Maintain detailed collection notes and follow-up actions.

• Support account reconciliations and accurate AR reporting.

• Drive outstanding issues through resolution to improve collections and reduce aging.

Required Qualifications

• Previous Accounts Receivable, collections, billing, claims, or related financial operations experience.

• Experience managing complex or high-volume accounts.

• Strong research and analytical skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to independently investigate issues and develop solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Federal government collections experience strongly preferred.

• Experience with government vendor portals and electronic invoice submissions.

• Experience managing AR portfolios valued at several million dollars or more.

• SAP or comparable ERP system experience.

• Background in fields requiring detailed investigation, such as:

  • Contract Administration

  • Insurance Claims

  • Medical Billing

  • Government Billing

• Experience resolving disputed or rejected invoices.

Pay Details: $23.36 per hour
