Terrybear is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, providing excellent customer service, and helping keep financial processes running smoothly.What You'll Do As our Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll play an important role in supporting the company's cash flow and customer account management processes.Responsibilities include:Process customer invoices accurately and timelyApply customer payments received through checks, credit cards, and other payment methodsSubmit daily deposits through remote banking systemsGenerate and distribute customer statementsMonitor outstanding customer balances and follow up on past-due accountsCommunicate with customers regarding billing questions and payment statusResearch and resolve billing discrepancies and account issuesProcess customer returns and credit memosMaintain accurate customer records within our ERP systemRespond to accounts receivable inquiries from customers and internal teamsAssist with administrative projects and other accounting-related tasks as neededWhat We're Looking For Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to learn new systems and processesAbility to maintain a consistent work schedule through the end of the business day Required hours are 2pm – 5pm Monday through Friday. Additional hours worked can be flexible based on employee & business needs.Preferred QualificationsAssociate's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related fieldOne or more years of accounts receivable, accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration experienceExperience with ERP systemsExperience processing invoices, customer payments, or collections activitiesSkills for SuccessAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracyProfessional communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to identify and resolve account discrepanciesCommitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsiblyWhy Terrybear?
