Piscataqua Landscaping & Tree Service is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our administration team. About the Role

As our Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll be the backbone of our AR process - from processing daily deposits and reconciling bank transactions to managing account aging and communicating directly with customers about their balances. You'll work closely with teams across our branches and divisions to keep our financial data accurate, current, and running smoothly.

This is an in-office position. The Accounts Receivable Specialist works on-site at our office in Eliot, ME.

Requirements

• Process payments and deposits accurately and on time
• Match daily deposits to bank transactions for accurate reconciliation
• Manage the AR email inbox and respond to customer and internal inquiries
• Keep AR data clean, current, and consistent across systems
• Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts
• Investigate and resolve billing or payment errors
• Send payment reminders and account statements
• Make friendly, professional outreach calls and emails to customers about their balances
• Partner with branch and division teams to resolve billing questions
• Help identify and document process improvements
• Take on other tasks and projects as assigned, providing support and ownership where needed

What You'll Bring

• Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• A customer service mindset - positive, empathetic, and professional, even in tough conversations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfort working across multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or bookkeeping preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); cloud-based accounting or CRM experience a plus (Aspire experience welcomed!)
• Familiarity with AI tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with outbound customer calls
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles related to AR, reconciliation, and cash application

Salary Description

$62,000-$70,000
