Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's accounting team. This position will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing payments, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate and timely collection of outstanding balances. The anticipated pay range for this role is between $29-$32 an hour.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
• Post and apply customer payments accurately and timely.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and account issues.
• Prepare and distribute customer statements and account information.
• Reconcile accounts receivable subledger to the general ledger.
• Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding billing and payment inquiries.
• Assist with month-end close and accounts receivable reporting.
• Support the accounting team with other duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
