In this position, you will manage key billing and accounts receivable functions, including claim review, payment follow-up, and account resolution. Youll collaborate with internal billing and finance teams to improve collections processes, maintain accurate records, and help ensure timely revenue recovery.
What Youll Do
As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for:- Overseeing daily AR activities to help maintain accurate account balances and improve payment turnaround
- Applying incoming payments, credits, and adjustments while ensuring financial records remain accurate
- Reviewing denied claims, identifying issues, and assisting with corrective actions to support reimbursement efforts
- Managing a large volume of billing-related tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting productivity goals
- Communicating with insurance carriers and patients to research account questions and resolve outstanding billing concerns
What Youll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:- Minimum of three years of experience supporting medical billing operations, preferably within a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting
- Solid understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes, including claim review, denial resolution, and appeals procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and maintain a solutions-focused approach
- Proven ability to investigate account issues, identify discrepancies, and implement effective resolutions to billing challenges
