Accounts Receivable Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and support a Staff Accountant to ensure accurate transaction handling for monthly financial closures.
• Oversee the preparation and management of journals for accounts receivable and miscellaneous cash receipts.
• Record electronic fund transfers (EFT) in the accounting system.
• Maintain detailed records and logs for accounts receivable, cash receipts, and journal entries.
• Act as the main liaison for the Fiscal Accountant and Medicaid billing team.
• Collaborate with the Grants and Contracts team to resolve A/R and revenue issues.
• Analyze Medicaid revenue and receivables for routine reporting.
• Efficiently manage remote and bank deposits.
• Conduct account analysis and reconciliation, focusing on balance sheet and revenue accounts.
• Investigate and resolve significant discrepancies in A/R and revenue.
• Prepare year-end Medicaid and revenue reconciliations and support audit processes.
• Compile and input Consolidated Report (CFR) schedules into the OMH portal and assist with final submissions.
• Perform additional administrative tasks and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or four years of relevant experience, ideally in a non-profit setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with the Financial Edge accounting system is advantageous.
