COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST

$25–$29/HR | 2+ YEARS EXPERIENCE | FULL-TIME

Are you great with numbers, confident on the phone, and know how to get things done? We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable working with customers, following up on outstanding balances, processing payments, handling lockbox activity, keeping records accurate, and staying on top of multiple priorities.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Manage accounts receivable and outstanding customer balances
Make and receive phone calls regarding past-due accounts
Follow up professionally and confidently with customers
Process customer payments and maintain accurate account records
Handle lockbox processing, including applying incoming payments to customer accounts
Perform data entry and update customer/account information
Research account discrepancies and help resolve billing and payment issues
Track collection activity and follow up on promised payments
Reconcile payments and account balances as needed
Maintain organized and accurate documentation
Work closely with internal teams to resolve account issues
Help keep AR aging under control and payments moving

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

2+ years of Accounts Receivable, Collections, Billing, or related experience
Experience with lockbox processing/payment applications is a strong plus
Comfortable spending a significant portion of the day on the phone
Strong communication and customer-service skills
Accurate and efficient with data entry
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable working with numbers, invoices, payments, and account balances
Organized, dependable, and able to prioritize
Professional, persistent, and not afraid to pick up the phone
Experience with accounting or ERP systems is a plus

PAY: $25–$29 PER HOUR based on experience and qualifications.

This is a temporary position with the potential for a great canddate to gain valuable experience and make an immediate impact on the team.

Process and post customer payments
