Are you an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in accounts receivable and billing? We are partnering with a growing organization in the Carmel area that is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Billing Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing the full billing cycle, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing exceptional customer service while contributing to a collaborative accounting department.
Responsibilities
Create, review, and distribute customer invoices accurately and on schedule
Process and post customer payments, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks
Monitor accounts receivable balances and aging reports
Follow up on outstanding invoices and assist with collection efforts
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer payment issues
Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate records
Work closely with internal departments to ensure billing accuracy
Prepare AR and billing-related reports for management
Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations
Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting best practices
Qualifications
3+ years of Accounts Receivable and/or Billing experience
Strong knowledge of invoicing, collections, cash applications, and account reconciliations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Pay Details: $31.00 to $32.00 per hour
