Overview

Consider joining the MX Holdings family as an Accounts Payable Supervisor in our St. Louis office. The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable function in support of a multi-location manufacturing environment. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, maintains strong internal controls and vendor records, and drives compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, mentor and develop a team of accounts payable professionals
  • Manage workload distribution and ensure adequate training and coverage for all accounts payable functions
  • Detail review of the accounts payable batches for completeness and accuracy
  • Monitor accounts payable, goods received not invoiced, and expense accrual agings for appropriate application and outstanding issues requiring follow-up
  • Track and review accounts payable monthly postings and analyze monthly expenses to confirm recording in correct period, preparing accruals and adjusting entries, as needed
  • Review of T&E accounting, including oversight of expense reporting process and procedures
  • Prepare account reconciliations and other accounting reports
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and work closely with other departments to resolve variances, questions, and issues
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for accounts payable processes, including appropriate internal control
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and analysis
  • Assist with 1099 reporting and other regulatory compliance requirements related to accounts payable
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Experience

  • 5 years of progressive accounts payable experience, including 2 or more years in a supervisory or management role

Other required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Leverages AI tools to optimize workflows and drive daily productivity
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available
  • Regular attendance required
