Accounts Payable Specialist (Temp)

Overview: The Houston, TX office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Temporary (with potential for permanent placement) Accounts Payable Specialist with legal experience. The primary responsibilities of this position include accounts payable and AP related account reconciliations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Overview:

The Houston, TX office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Temporary (with potential for permanent placement) Accounts Payable Specialist with legal experience. This position is expected to be for a duration of three (3) months based on a 37.50 hour work week. The Accounts Payable Specialist works withing the department performing the Firm's full cycle accounts payable process. The primary responsibilities of this position include accounts payable and AP related account reconciliations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Daily activities include processing of invoices, expense reports and other accounts payable items, and AP accounts reconciliations.

Job Specifications/Requirements:

 

• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office and comfortable with a variety of Accounting software programs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience
• At least three (3) years' experience working as an AP Specialist
• At least one (1) year of experience working in a law firm, preferred
