Description
Kforce's client, a food manufacturer with operations in Florida and Texas, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support its accounting team. This hands-on role involves high-volume invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The position is initially temporary, with potential for permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Specialist will process high-volume PO and non-PO invoices, including three-way matching
- Perform GL coding and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Coordinate with vendors, Purchasing, Receiving, and plant operations
- Process ACH, wire, and check payments
- Prepare AP aging reports and support cash forecasting
- Reconcile vendor statements and AP balances to the GL
- As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will assist with month-end accruals and 1099 reporting
- Maintain vendor records and accurate payment information
- Support AP process improvements and reporting automation
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of AP or general accounting experience
- Experience with invoice processing and three-way matching
- Knowledge of GL coding, payments, and reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- QuickBooks Desktop and/or Fishbowl experience
- Experience with AP automation and reporting tools
- Food manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain background
- Fully onsite in Tampa, near Brandon and I-75
- Monday-Friday schedule, earlier start preferred
- Work closely with finance leadership and operations teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
