Accounts Payable Specialist

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their dynamic team in Pleasanton. This role involves handling high-volume accounts payable tasks, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and timely. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing, food manufacturing, or packaged goods environment and will be comfortable working onsite full-time to start, with the possibility of working offsite on Fridays.

Responsibilities:

• Managing high-volume accounts payable processes using Sage software (training provided if needed).
• Ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Collaborating with team members to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records.
• Communicating effectively with vendors and internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements:

• Experience in accounts payable, preferably in a manufacturing or packaged goods environment.
• Proficiency in using accounting software; experience with Sage ERP is preferred but not mandatory as training will be provided.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Hours:

Monday to Friday, 1st shift. Initially, the position requires being onsite 100% for training, with potential offsite work on Fridays.
