Accounts Payable Specialist
Greater Hartford, CT Area | Fully Onsite

CFS has partnered with a well-established organization in the Greater Hartford, CT area to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high-volume AP environment and has experience working within ERP systems.

Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently through the full accounts payable cycle
- Perform invoice matching, coding, data entry, approvals, and payment processing
- Reconcile vendor statements and research invoice discrepancies
- Support the implementation and transition to a new purchasing and invoicing system
- Maintain organized AP records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
- Assist with month-end activities and special projects within the Accounting department
- Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely processing and resolution of issues
Requirements
- 3+ years of high-volume, full-cycle Accounts Payable experience
- Prior experience working within ERP systems
- Strong understanding of invoice processing, coding, reconciliations, and vendor management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
