    ABOUT THE ROLE

    InterAtlas Logistics is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Staff Accountant, this role plays a vital part in supporting the company’s financial operations. You will be responsible for vendor invoice processing, accounts payable functions, and general accounting support to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, managing a large network of vendors and processing a substantial number of invoices with accuracy and efficiency.

     

    HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

    • Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.
    • Maintain vendor records and assist with onboarding new vendors, including W-9 collection and verification.
    • Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure invoices are paid according to agreed payment terms.
    • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues professionally and efficiently.
    • Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
    • Review employee expense reports for compliance with company policies and process reimbursements.
    • Support with any Accounts Receivable matters such as collections, reconciliation, and cash posting.
    • Receive, open, and distribute incoming mail and perform general administrative tasks for the accounting department.
    • Additional financial projects or tasks, as required.


    QUALIFICATIONS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO US:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting roles.
    • Post-secondary education focused on Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
    • Previous experience in the transportation, logistics, warehousing, or supply chain sector is considered an asset.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and similar functions.
    • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Understand and maintain high standards of confidentiality while exercising discretion and professionalism.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
