Accounts Payable Specialist - New York, NY

A successful Accounts Payable Specialist should have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.

• Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system.
• Manage vendor setup and maintain vendor records.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs, including ACH, wire, and check payments.
• Review employee expense reports for policy compliance and accuracy.
• Respond to vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries in a timely manner.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Support audit requests by providing accounts payable documentation and analysis.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls.

A successful Accounts Payable Specialist should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably within financial services, professional services, or a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and controls.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
