JOB DESCRIPTION

We're hiring an Accounts Payable Associate to join our accounting team as we scale. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in accounting fundamentals. You'll work directly with our Senior Accountant, learning the ins and outs of AP, reconciliations, and close support in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. If you're detail-oriented, eager to learn, and energized by a real workload from day one, this is the role for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Invoice intake, coding, and entry across multiple entities in NetSuite
  • Vendor communication — onboarding new vendors, collecting W-9s, resolving payment inquiries
  • Payment processing and approval routing via Ramp — approximately 170 invoices/month
  • Credit card transaction review and coding — approximately 850 transactions/month
  • New vendor account setup for entities in pre-open stages
  • Contract and document organization
  • Support bank reconciliations across 15+ accounts
  • Assist with month-end close prep — tie-outs, reconciliations, and work paper organization
  • Help maintain prepaid and accrual schedules
  • Support journal entry preparation and posting
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a similar field
  • 1-2 years of accounting or Accounts Payable experience (internships count!)
  • Exposure to NetSuite or a similar ERP is a plus, not required
  • Strong AI proficiency — comfortable using AI tools to automate tasks, improve workflows, and increase output
  • Proficient in Excel — comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and basic data cleansing
  • Close attention to detail and eagerness to manage volume
  • Strong communicator — comfortable with vendor-facing interactions
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment with evolving processes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base salary: $75,000 - $85,000
