Accounts Payable Specialist

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in High Point. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, resolving discrepancies, and keeping payments and financial records accurate and organized.

High Point, NC | Temp-to-Hire
Monday–Friday | $18–$25 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately and promptly.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation, as applicable.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, missing documentation, and payment questions.
• Assist with preparing payment runs, including checks and electronic payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items.
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
• Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments.
• Assist with month-end activities and other accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous accounts payable or related accounting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Professional communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
