    Summary

    CHS is hiring an Experienced AP/AR Specialist to join its finance team. The Experienced AP/AR Specialist will provide day-to-day support for the business unit customers and vendors through the entire procure-to-pay process and, at the same time, seek process improvement efficiencies and understand corporate structures, business contacts, and stakeholders. The person in this role will also participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.   

    This role is onsite at our Herman, MN location. 

    Responsibilities

    • Process and monitor supplier invoices, payments, and related transactions to ensure accuracy and timely resolution.
    • Research and resolve invoice, payment, and supplier account issues, including past-due invoices and processing exceptions.
    • Serve as a primary contact for supplier inquiries and maintain positive working relationships through effective communication.
    • Monitor workflow queues, outstanding approvals, aging items, and department metrics to support operational objectives.
    • Identify root causes of payment delays, document findings, and provide reporting or escalation support as needed.
    • Maintain accurate records, supporting documentation, and audit-ready files.
    • Utilize financial systems and tools to process transactions, track activity, and support system enhancements.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice and payment issues and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
    • Participate in process improvement initiatives, documentation updates, testing activities, and departmental projects.
    • Support cross-training efforts, provide backup coverage, and contribute to a collaborative, customer-focused team environment.
    •  Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications (required)

    • 1+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or AP/AR
    • High School diploma or GED

    Additional Qualifications

    • Proficient in MS Office suite
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
    • Associate's degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field

    CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
