Client Overview: Established organization is seeking an experienced
Accounts Payable Specialist to join its accounting team.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $25/hr - $27/hr
Position Overview: The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for accurately and timely processing vendor invoices, payments, and related accounting transactions while ensuring proper approvals, coding, and internal controls.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:- Process and verify vendor invoices, purchase orders, receiving documents, expense reports, and payment transactions.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate vendor information and verify banking details.
- Support month-end close and respond to internal and external payment inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with accounting procedures, approvals, and internal controls.
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:- 1-3 years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience preferred.
- Large ERP experience such as Great Plains, Oracle, or SAP.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:- Experience with three-way matching, purchase orders, and account reconciliations.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
