Description
Kforce has a client in Alexandria, VA that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist.
Position Summary:
Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support day to day AP operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process and code vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Review invoices for proper approvals and supporting documentation
- Perform three way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts
- Process ACH, wire, and check payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships
- Assist with month end close activities and account reconciliations
- Maintain AP records and supporting documentation for audit purposes
- Support 1099 reporting and other compliance requirements
Requirements:
- High School diploma required; Degree preferred
- 2-4 years of Accounts Payable experience
- Strong Excel experience - Vlookups, Pivot Tables and Formulas
- Be able to function independently in a small team and be able to prioritize to complete the work each day
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
