Salary: $65,000-$80,000

Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a large, mission-driven nonprofit organization serving children and families across the Greater Philadelphia area. This organization fosters a collaborative, inclusive environment focused on safety, support, and long-term impact within the community.

The Accounts Payable Manager will lead the full AP function across a complex, multi-entity environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments, maintaining strong internal controls, and managing a high-volume workflow while supporting organizational compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor payments, invoice processing, and expense management
  • Manage high-volume AP operations across multiple programs, locations, and funding streams
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, grant requirements, and organizational policies
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and audit readiness
  • Partner with finance leadership to support audits and reporting requirements
  • Supervise, train, and develop AP staff, ensuring efficiency and accuracy across the team
  • Handle Medicaid-related expenditures and government-funded program payments

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of progressive accounts payable experience required
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Strong experience in high-volume AP environments required
  • Nonprofit experience strongly preferred, especially with government funding or grant-based accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with a focus on AP processes

Work Environment

  • Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 2 days onsite
  • Additional onsite presence may be required during audits or key projects
