Accounts Payable Coordinator - Construction (Full-Time)

A well-established construction firm in Northern Virginia is hiring an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join its corporate accounting team. You'll own the day-to-day AP process, work closely with subcontractors and vendors, and support the team through month-end and year-end.

What you'll do:

- Receive, code and process vendor and subcontractor invoices from intake through payment

- Serve as the main AP contact for subcontractors and vendors

- Keep vendor records current: W-9s, certificates of insurance, lien waivers and subcontract paperwork

- Help prepare the weekly check run, including EFT payments

- Reconcile vendor, subcontractor and credit card statements and resolve discrepancies

- Support monthly sales and use tax review and year-end 1099 processing

- Help with client communications alongside the customer service team

What you bring:

- Bachelor's degree

- Accounts payable experience, ideally in construction (subcontractor payables, waivers, COIs)

- Comfort with MS Office and accounting software, and a quick learner on new systems

- Strong attention to detail, organization and time management

- Clear written and verbal communication with a service-first approach
