About The Company: ECL Entertainment, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, operates live horseracing and four historic horseracing locations in Kentucky, including The Mint Gaming Hall at Kentucky Downs as well as charitable gaming locations in New Hampshire that also operate historic horseracing machines. ECL Entertainment also operates Wyoming Downs and 307 Horse Racing, which have live horseracing and over thirty historical horseracing locations throughout Wyoming. SCOPE: The Accounts Payable Clerk will keep precise records of payment made and owed and work collaboratively with other members of the Finance Department to perform audits and assist with other accounting related responsibilities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Process and enter vendor invoices for payment, including comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including accounts payable data entry and payment runs.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including accounts and monthly vendor statements to ensure that all invoices and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Maintain accounts payable documentation and records.
- Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
- Track payments and expenditures, including invoices, statements, expense reports, purchase orders etc.
- Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers.
- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted logged, scanned, and filed.
- Fulfill full-cycle Accounts Payable functions.
- Provide support to internal departments and Finance team.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - High school diploma required.
- 1+ years of working in bookkeeping or accounts payable positions, preferred.
- Experience in an office environment or Gaming industry preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
