    Accounts Payable (AP) Intern – Career Path to AP Associate

    Graphic Information Systems | Mason, OH

    Graphic Information Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Intern to join our Accounting team. This position is designed as an entry-level opportunity for someone interested in developing a long-term career in accounting.

    Responsibilities

    • Process, code, and enter vendor invoices
    • Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
    • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
    • Maintain accurate vendor records and AP documentation
    • Assist with vendor payments and payment documentation
    • Communicate with vendors regarding invoice and payment questions
    • Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding invoices
    • Assist with credit card and account reconciliations
    • Support month-end Accounts Payable activities
    • Maintain accurate records and follow established internal controls
    • Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed

    Qualifications

    • Coursework, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
    • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
    • Prior accounting, bookkeeping, office, or Accounts Payable experience is a plus but not required
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Good organizational and time-management skills
    • Professional communication skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with financial information
    • Dependable attendance and interest in developing into a full-time AP Associate

    Position Structure

    The position will initially be part-time for approximately 3–9 months, with the intended opportunity to transition into a full-time AP Associate role based on successful performance, reliability, progress in learning the position, and business needs.

    This is an in-office position located in Mason, Ohio.

    Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship and must be able to successfully complete a background check.
