POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION:Accounting Supervisor 1st Shift
DEPARTMENT:Accounting
LOCATION:Ottumwa
SALARY CLASS: Exempt
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and finalize the daily yields to provide to management upon arrival in morning.
- Supervise yield and billing clerks.
- Recommend improvement to production reporting activities to ensure the most efficient and effective operations.
- Must meet local and corporate deadlines.
- Be able to handle multiple tasks timely and efficiently.
- Able to cover accounting jobs when needed.
- Perform various other tasks as needed to ensure efficiency in the accounting department
- Other duties as needed.
Relationships:
Internal: Employees on the production line and plant management.
Special Skills:
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong work history
- 10-key and computer skills required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Previous accounting and office experience preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally in English
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Computer knowledge required (Must have working knowledge of Excel and Word.)
- Ability to work 50+ hours
- Good attendance record (Less than 3 points, for internal candidates)
Education:
- High School degree or equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
