Primary Purpose of Position
Serving as a primary point of contact for assigned departments and schools, this position provides guidance on purchasing processes, budget management, travel, and financial transactions. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving expense reports and pre-approvals, as well as preparing journal entries, budget transfers, and position change forms. Reporting to the Executive Director of Administration and Finance for College of Health and Human Sciences this position will assist with financial oversight, budget management, purchasing, and administrative support for the College of Health and Human Sciences.
The Accounting Technician also completes monthly reconciliations of prior month transactions, supports AHEC housing transactions in coordination with students and the Cashier's Office, and assists the Accountant and Executive Director for Administration & Finance with budget monitoring, financial submissions, and other college-wide financial activities.
