Accounting Technician (A/P Processor) Greenville, SC

Pay range: $22.00 - $24.50 hr. (Depends on Experience)

Hours: 8am-5pm (M-F)

 

Job Description:

Under direct supervision, this position works on the most complex clerical functions related to accounting activities. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Use an automated accounting system to perform data entry, maintenance, and data collection.

  • May interface with internal and external groups, vendors, and project personnel.   

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards. 

  • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff. 

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards. 

  • Adhere to and support AMECO's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies. 

  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or

  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to five (5) years.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior accounting experience in a similar environment is preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.    

  • Previous experience with Vantage/SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.

  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal statutes and guidelines.  

  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.   

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computer-based business applications.

 

 Physical Demands/Requirements: 

  • Individuals may be required to frequently sit/drive stand, walk, lift/carry, reach, stoop, push/pull, handle/grasp/feel, talk, hear, engage in repetitive motions, and demonstrate eye/hand/foot coordination.

  • Close vision is required for this job.  

  • Employees may be required to occasionally lift, carry, and/or move up to 25 pounds. 

  • Often required to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines, thus some stress may occur.
