We are seeking an Accounting Systems Implementation Specialist with hands-on experience in accounting software implementation, ERP deployment, finance systems, and customer-facing technology projects.
This role is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in accounting technology, ERP implementation, finance transformation consulting, or accounting systems deployment. The successful candidate will work directly with finance leaders and customers to understand complex accounting workflows, configure software solutions, and lead implementation projects from initial requirements through successful deployment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead customer implementation projects from initial discovery and requirements gathering through configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Work directly with CFOs, Controllers, and finance teams to understand accounting processes, operational challenges, and business requirements.
- Implement and configure accounting systems supporting General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), reconciliations, payments, accruals, and month-end close.
- Translate accounting and finance requirements into practical system configurations and implementation plans.
- Manage implementation timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Support pre-sales discussions, product demonstrations, and post-sales implementation activities.
- Troubleshoot implementation issues and work with internal product and engineering teams to resolve customer challenges.
- Explain accounting workflows and technical solutions clearly to both finance professionals and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve implementation workflows, documentation, and deployment processes.
- Help establish scalable implementation practices within a fast-growing technology organization.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting software implementation, ERP deployment, finance systems, or finance transformation.
- Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, or deploying accounting or enterprise software.
- Strong understanding of core accounting workflows, including GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into software configurations or implementation plans.
- Ability to manage customer-facing projects and communicate effectively with senior finance stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in New York City 4–5 days per week.
- Must be based in the United States or Canada, or be willing and eligible to relocate to New York City.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a Big Four accounting firm or finance transformation consulting practice.
- Experience working for an accounting software, ERP, or financial technology company.
- Familiarity with platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle, Workday, or other ERP and accounting systems.
- Experience with finance systems migration, accounting automation, or back-office transformation projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- CPA certification is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of $160,000–$200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
