Accounting Supervisor

System One is assisting a growing company near Tulsa with a search for an Accounting Supervisor. This position leads core transactional accounting processes and helps keep day-to-day accounting activities running smoothly. The role works closely with internal teams to support accurate reporting and timely processing.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily accounts receivable and accounts payable activities to ensure accurate, timely processing
• Lead workflow management and support an efficient, service-oriented process for internal stakeholders, taking initiative to suggest process improvements
• Reconcile subledgers and resolve discrepancies impacting payments or collections
• Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations, reporting, and accruals
• Ensure customer invoicing is accurate using shipping documents and milestone/progress billing data as applicable
• Monitor customer credit limits and support actions that reduce bad debt exposure
• Coordinate multi-state sales and use tax compliance, including taxability setup, return preparation, and remittance
• Manage exemption/resale certificate collection and recordkeeping for tax-exempt customers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable. Supervisory experience highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles (including GAAP-based practices)
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
