LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead monthly and annual financial closes processes, review financial statements, assist with year-end audits, and supervise and mentor accounting staff. The Accounting Supervisor role requires 5-8 years of accounting experience, with previously supervisory experience preferred. This direct hire opportunity is onsite in Carlsbad, CA and the anticipated salary is $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities
Lead monthly and annual financial close processes.
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Oversee accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany activity.
Review monthly financial statements for accuracy.
Assist with year-end audits and tax-related reporting.
Support accounting related to mergers and acquisitions.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including reviewing work and providing feedback.
Assist with special projects and financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
5-8 years of accounting experience.
Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial reporting.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting systems.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
