Accounting Specialist

We are currently conducting a search for an Accounting Specialist for a well-established mission based organization in the Metro Detroit area.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and journal entries. 

• Monitor financial activity, budgets, and compliance while analyzing account variances. 

• Support audits, internal controls, and accounting policies and procedures. 

• Partner with internal departments to provide financial guidance and reporting. 

• Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience. 

• Strong understanding of GAAP, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. 

• Experience supporting audits and maintaining financial compliance. 

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
