From prevention and outreach to safe housing and education, our programs serve youth and survivors across the Midwest and Southeast regions of the U.S.What You'll DoThe Finance Specialist supports the day-to-day financial operations of Selah Freedom by ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and supporting grant and program funding requirements. This role works closely with the Finance Director, Grants team, and program departments to ensure fiscal accuracy, audit readiness, and timely completion of financial obligations.Essential ResponsibilitiesManage Daily Financial OperationsProcess and monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper authorization, accurate coding, and timely paymentsReview donations, vendor bills, and credit card transactions for compliance with internal controlsOversee Cash & Payment ActivityMonitor bank accounts and initiate payments in accordance with approval policiesTrack grant and consulting revenue, reconcile discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding receivablesSupport Grant & Program FundingAssist with grant billing and reimbursement processesEnsure expenses are properly allocated across grants, programs, and funding sourcesPrepare payroll allocation reports and provide documentation to the Grants teamReporting, Compliance & Audit SupportAssist with financial reportingAssist with documentation for annual financial and grant auditsCollaborate cross-functionally to maintain fiscal integrity and accountabilityWhat You BringAssociate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)Minimum of two years' experience in an accounting or finance roleExperience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software preferredStrong understanding of internal controls and financial complianceStrong written and verbal communication skillsEquivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.Why Selah Freedom?We don't just work-we live out a calling.
