Accounting Specialist (Microsoft Dynamics SL)

Our client is a financial services company based in East Hanover, New Jersey. Their accounting team runs on Microsoft Dynamics SL, and they need someone who can work in it from day one.

Compensation:
$32 to $40 per hour. Temporary or temporary-to-permanent.

Job Location:
East Hanover, New Jersey. On site 4 days per week.

Role Summary:
Our client needs an accounting specialist who already knows Microsoft Dynamics SL (some people still call it Solomon). You will handle both sides of the ledger, payables and receivables, for a finance team that runs on Dynamics SL every day.

Your week is invoices, vendor payments, customer billing, and cash application, plus account reconciliations and month-end close support. You will work independently and stay in close contact with the finance management team.

The role starts as a temporary assignment. If you perform well and prove reliable, they want to bring you on permanently.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and prepare vendor payments in Microsoft Dynamics SL.
• Create customer invoices and apply incoming cash to open receivables.
• Reconcile accounts and research discrepancies until they balance.
• Support collections by following up on past-due customer balances.
• Help prepare month-end close entries, schedules, and reports.
• Keep vendor and customer records accurate and current.

Qualifications:

• Current, hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon). Strong Microsoft Dynamics GP users are also considered.
• Solid experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Working knowledge of account reconciliations and month-end close.
• Strong attention to detail and organized work habits.
• Comfortable working on your own and communicating with management.
• Able to work on site in East Hanover 4 days per week.
