ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST III (GRANTS & COMPLIANCE)

Performs specialized accounting duties including account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, grant administration support, accounts receivable support, audit workpaper preparation, financial record maintenance, and other accounting functions. Assists with maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial schedules, supporting grant compliance activities, and ensuring accounting transactions are processed in accordance with City policies and established accounting procedures.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Accountant II-Grants & Compliance, performs advanced paraprofessional accounting work in support of the Accounting Division. Performs specialized accounting duties including account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, grant administration support, accounts receivable support, audit workpaper preparation, financial record maintenance, and other accounting functions. Assists with maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial schedules, supporting grant compliance activities, and ensuring accounting transactions are processed in accordance with City policies and established accounting procedures.
