Overview of the Role:

The Accounting Specialist will handle a high volume of Accounts Payable transactions from invoice entry through payment, along with vendor reconciliations, researching discrepancies, and assisting with month-end close. This is a hands-on position for someone who knows AP and enjoys being the person who keeps things moving.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Process a high volume of invoices and payments
• 
  
• Review invoices for accuracy, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
• 
  
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
• 
  
• Respond to vendor questions and resolve payment issues
• 
  
• Maintain accurate AP records and files
• 
  
• Prepare and process payments
• 
  
• Assist with month-end close and AP-related reconciliations
• 
  
• Work with other departments to resolve invoice and billing issues
• 
  
• Prepare reports and provide general accounting support as needed
• 
  

What You Bring:

• 
  
• Solid Accounts Payable experience, ideally in a high-volume environment
• 
  
• Experience working with an ERP or accounting system
• 
  
• Good Excel skills
• 
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• 
  
• Comfortable researching issues and following through to resolution
• 
  
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• 
  
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• 
  
• Accounting coursework or degree is a plus
• 
  

$58,000 - $65,000
