Are you an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment? We're looking for a Lead Project Cost Accountant to play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting complex government contracts, and driving process improvements within a collaborative accounting team.
What You'll Do
Lead revenue recognition activities under ASC 606, including Contract Review Worksheets (CRWs)
Review contract setup within the ERP system
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and cost reclassifications
Perform inventory net realizable value (NRV) assessments
Analyze balance sheet and income statement variances
Prepare quarterly Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) profit reporting and financial flux analysis
Calculate and support monthly accruals, including warranty and program-related accruals
Prepare corporate reporting schedules and HFM reporting packages
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
Partner with internal and external auditors, including SOX compliance efforts
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis
