About the Role


Our client is seeking a dynamic Controller to oversee accounting operations and serve as a key financial leader within the organization. This position offers a unique combination of hands-on accounting leadership, strategic involvement, and visibility with executive leadership.


The Controller will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, improving processes, supporting organizational decision-making, and helping guide the future direction of the finance function.



Key Responsibilities



  • Lead day-to-day accounting and financial operations.

  • Oversee general ledger activities, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

  • Analyze financial performance and provide meaningful recommendations to leadership.

  • Partner with department leaders to improve operational and financial outcomes.

  • Coordinate audit activities and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.

  • Mentor and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Progressive accounting leadership experience, including Controller, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or similar responsibilities.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.

  • Experience managing month-end close and accounting operations.

  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with executives and influence business decisions.
