We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead core financial operations and ensure the integrity, compliance, and scalability of accounting processes in a highly regulated environment. Reporting to the Controller, this role will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable financial insights while strengthening internal controls aligned with CAS, FAR, and DFAR requirements. Key Responsibilities
Lead all core accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and Tax
Own the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness
Prepare and review financial statements and reporting packages, delivering clear and reliable insights to leadership
Partner with operational and functional teams to provide financial guidance and improve decision-making
Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team aligned with business growth
Review T&E reporting, AP check runs, and payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance
Strengthen and maintain internal controls, including ERP system governance (Deltek Costpoint preferred)
Ensure compliance with CAS, FAR, DFAR, and GAAP standards across all accounting activities
Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities
Research and resolve complex accounting issues with a solutions-oriented mindset
Support audits and maintain readiness in a regulated, defense-focused environment
Drive continuous improvement across processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of CAS, FAR, and DFAR regulations
Deep experience with General Ledger and financial reporting
Proven leadership experience building and developing teams
