The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting functions, financial reporting, month end close, budgeting, cost accounting, and internal controls within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Accounting Manager – ManufacturingGreater Flint Area | Direct Hire | $70K–$90K | Immediate Interviews A growing manufacturing Company has engaged QSS in a search for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations for its manufacturing facility.  This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive compensation, strong leadership visibility, and immediate interview availability. The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting functions, financial reporting, month end close, budgeting, cost accounting, and internal controls within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing accounting experience, leadership skills, and the ability to partner cross functionally with operations and executive leadership. Responsibilities 

• Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets 
• Lead month end and year end close processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness 
• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports 
• Oversee cost accounting functions including inventory, standard costing, and manufacturing variances 
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures 
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities 
• Partner with plant leadership to analyze operational and financial performance 
• Coordinate external audits and support tax related activities 
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company financial policies 
• Mentor and develop accounting staff 

 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 
• 5+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment 
• Previous leadership or management experience preferred 
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory accounting 
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel 
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills 
• CPA or CMA preferred but not required
