Nucor Steel Sedalia, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager in Sedalia, MO to lead, execute, and oversee all accounting, financial reporting, and internal control activities for the division. Key qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, proficiency with financial reporting systems and analysis tools, and experience in manufacturing/cost accounting with leadership drive.

Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, cost accounting, annual budgeting, monthly balancing, inventory, and financial/tax/compliance reporting
- Implement and interpret financial/accounting policies, supervise internal/external audits, maintain proper internal controls, and serve as backup for the Controller
- Provide analytical support across departments to drive cost efficiency, and lead the training, development, and growth of finance team members
Qualifications
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; minimum 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience preferred
- Hands-on proficiency with Financial Reporting Systems, analysis tools, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and cost/manufacturing accounting
- Strong leadership presence, direct communication, problem-solving skills, dependability, business acumen, and commitment to workplace safety
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
