The Accounting Manager will join a finance organization supporting a complex inventory-driven business with multiple locations and legal entities.

Job Details

The Accounting Manager will serve as a hands-on leader within the finance organization, owning major components of the monthly close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and general ledger while helping strengthen accounting processes across a growing multi-entity platform. The role will also manage junior finance staff and support the accounting integration of acquired businesses.

• Lead the monthly close process across multiple legal entities and operating locations
• Review and post journal entries, manage accruals, and ensure appropriate accounting cutoff
• Oversee inventory accounting including standard costs, ocean freight, import fees, duties, reserves, obsolescence, and inventory adjustments
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition, vendor expense accounting, gross-margin reporting, and consolidated financial reporting
• Reconcile and review balance sheet and general ledger accounts including cash, fixed assets, prepaids, receivables, payables, commissions, debt, and payroll liabilities
• Manage AP/AR and junior finance staff, reviewing work product and developing team capabilities
• Support external financial audits and associated audit fieldwork
• Help integrate acquired companies onto common ERP systems, charts of accounts, close calendars, balance sheet structures, and accounting processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA required
• Manufacturing accounting background required
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, monthly close mechanics, and consolidated financial reporting
• Hands-on ERP experience with NetSuite, Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or comparable platforms
• Public accounting experience preferred
