Job Details

Primary responsibilities

Manage the full accounting cycle for a construction company, including job costing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll support, and month end close
Prepare progress billings, pay applications, retention tracking, and work in progress schedules
Review subcontractor invoices, lien waivers, change orders, and compliance documents
Reconcile project cost data and keep it accurate across systems
Troubleshoot and resolve data and sync issues among the accounting platform, project management software, and field tools
Support audits, certified payroll, and federal and public contract reporting
Partner with project managers on budgets, forecasts, and cost to complete

Required qualifications

Hands on experience with Spectrum, Vista, or Timberline in a construction setting
Proven ability to diagnose ERP integration issues, ideally among Spectrum, Procore, and Build Trade
Strong working knowledge of construction accounting, including job cost, percentage of completion, retention, and WIP
A track record of accuracy and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
Clear communication with project teams and leadership

Preferred qualifications

Experience with federal or public works accounting, including certified payroll and prevailing wage
A degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
Prior supervisory or senior level responsibility for those seeking the manager title
