In this role, you will own the end-to-end payroll process for our 100-person team while managing core corporate accounting functions, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between meticulous payroll compliance and traditional corporate accounting, ensuring our team is paid accurately while maintaining an accurate general ledger.The accounting manager is principally responsible for governing all elements of the payroll cycle includingEstablishing system controls for the payroll system and development of procedures to improve existing systemsDeveloping, interpreting and refining company policies and government regulations affecting payroll proceduresOversight of timekeeping policies and proceduresPayroll initiation, execution and reconciliationPayroll related chart of accounts maintenance across multiple integrated systemsPayroll liability account reconciliationMunicipal, state and federal tax complianceFringe expense reconciliationGovernance of employee reimbursement processes for travel and business expenses.Coordinating month end/quarter end and year end payroll activitiesThe position requires collaboration with human resources to seamlessly integrate payroll and employee data. Establishing and maintaining the integrity of employee payroll data is also critically important to this position and will require the execution of regular payroll audits to ensure compliance with laws, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
